2022 CTY On-Campus Summer Programs

The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) On-Campus Programs offers enriching summer opportunities for students and professionals interested in instructing or supporting very bright and engaged students in a challenging and nurturing academic community unlike any other. Thank you for your interest in employment with CTY On-Campus Programs, and we are excited that you are interested in being a part of our talented team.

In order to complete the application, you will be required to upload a current resume and provide information about your education and employment history. If you need to stop at any point to collect additional information, you may save your progress and resume your application at a later time.

Transcripts : If you have not previously worked for CTY On-Campus Programs, you must also provide transcript(s) from all of your undergraduate and graduate institutions. Unofficial copies are acceptable. These may be uploaded along with your resume in the Documents section of your JHU Careers profile.

Former CTY Staff: Candidates who have previously worked in CTY Summer Programs will be required to complete a full interview process if they express interest in a role and/or course not previously occupied.

Timeline for Consideration:

  • Application consideration for new candidates begins in late January.
  • Applications are considered through the start of the programs for any positions that remain or become open.
  • Because of the large volume of applications, you may not hear from us for several weeks after submitting your application.

Important Health & Safety Protocols:

CTY remains committed to upholding the highest safety standards for our students and staff. We continue to follow public health experts’ guidance, and will implement a thorough COVID-19 safety plan to limit the risk of positive cases during our on-campus programs. We expect our staff members to support a safe and healthy learning environment by following these guidelines, which will be updated based on public health recommendations closer to program start dates. Please note the following:

  • Johns Hopkins has mandated COVID-19 vaccines, as applicable. For additional information, applicants should visit https://covidinfo.jhu.edu/health-safety/covid-vaccination-information/.
  • Staff will be required to leave campus within 24 hours of receiving a positive test.
    • If a staff member tests positive for COVID-19, they will be allowed to quarantine on-site for up to 24 hours, while they make arrangements to leave campus.
  • Staff should consider ease of travel when making decisions about which site to work. CTY will not reimburse costs associated with exiting campus.
  • Health services, including counselors, are reserved for student use. Off-site resources are shared with staff members. As JHU employees, staff have access to faculty assistance programs.

Helpful Tools:

If you have any questions about the process, or if you are offered another position (after you've submitted application), we invite you to send us an email at ctyrecruiting@jhu.edu

Thank you,
