Early Childhood and Special Education Research Assistant

Our work focuses on landscape analyses, technical assistance, professional learning, and applied research techniques to build organizations’ capacity to promote inclusionary practices and ensure equity for all learners.
CTE is seeking to hire a casual Early Childhood and Special Education Research Assistant for various research projects. Under the direction of an Associate Research Scientist, the Early Childhood and Special Education Research Assistant will assist in day-to-day logistical and operational tasks for a variety of early childhood and special education research projects.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent writing and presentation skills, experience with data entry and organization, attention to detail, as well as exceptional time management abilities. Early childhood research experience preferred.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Organizing files and research materials.
- Documenting research materials.
- Creating surveys.
- Conducting interviews.
- Collecting and entering data.
- Assisting with operations, logistics, and various operational tasks.
- Conducting literature searches.
- Writing literature reviews.
- Coding and preparing data.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and developing and working with spreadsheets/databases.
- Analytical skills, such as experience examining data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with research projects, including literature reviews, data collection and management, and academic writing.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office.
- Background in Early Childhood Education or related field.
