Sightline is seeking an IT Specialist - Sightline, who is primarily responsible for supporting the efforts of the Sightline Project Managers in their efforts to manage and report on all aspects of the Sightline Project Team.
Position will support the implementation of a full suite of ERP products spanning Supply Chain, Finance, Sponsored Projects, HR, and Payroll. Position will support the entire landscape of Johns Hopkins including the University, Health Systems, and all affiliates except that of APL. Position will interact regularly with functional staff, technical staff, change management teams, and training teams. Position will report directly to the IT Director, PMO but will have a dotted line responsibility to each of the IT Project Managers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Analysis & Requirements Gatherings
- Position will work with IT Project Managers to complete duties assigned which may include but are not limited to,
- Facilitating the sharing of resources, tools, methodologies, techniques
- Enabling consistent use of policies, procedures, templates
- Implementing dashboards, scorecards or other project metrics
- Communicating strategic work/progress including documenting necessary escalations, risks, issues
Design & Development
- Position will execute work concurrently with a number of resources across the Sightline project and must be able to demonstrate the appropriate capabilities within them, including but not limited to Smartsheet, Confluence, Vizio, PowerPoint, and JIRA.
- Follows defined task lists by using basic programming skills to complete projects of limited scope and meet required milestones.
- May assist in writing functional specifications for use by programmers and business analysts to develop technical solutions.
- Under guidance, change data input, files/database structures, data transformation, algorithms, and data output by using appropriate computer language/tools to provide technical solutions for simple application development tasks.
Testing & Documentation
- Assist with creating and documenting simple test scenarios using the appropriate testing tools to validate and verify application functionality.
- Test changes by using the appropriate simple test scenarios to identify errors. Maintain documentation materials that serve as technical and/or end-user references.
Implementation & Maintenance
- Provide basic application and desktop support by triaging and resolving simple issues to ensure prompt and effective service.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Work Location
- Hybrid work arrangements, negotiable, at Mt. Washington.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Two years related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate user of Smartsheet, Microsoft Vizio, JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint.
