General summary/purpose:

 

Bilingual (English/Spanish) research assistant needed for intervention research projects to enhance supports for effective healthcare access and use by immigrant Latino families.

 

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Duties will include home-based Spanish language surveys, phone-based participant surveys, support with data management, data reporting, and community and academic presentations

 

Minimum qualifications:

 

Requires high school diploma/GED, and a minimum of two years related work experience. Must be fluent or proficient in Spanish oral and written communications (there is a brief phone assessment to confirm fluency for the position. Must also have prior experience working with immigrant Latino populations. Additional education may substitute for experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula:  30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.  Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis.  For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

The position includes travel to home-based interviews in Baltimore City and surrounding suburbs thus having a car and valid driver’s license is preferred.
