General Description

General Summary:


The Neuroimaging Laboratory of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry focuses on the application of PET and MRI imaging methods to the study of cognitive and affective symptoms in late life (normal aging, late life depression, mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's dementia). The Research Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating protocol implementation and handle administrative pieces of research related issues.


Duties and Responsibilities:


•Operationalizes study protocols.

•Screens and schedules research volunteers.

•Performs neuropsychological testing and clinical assessments.

•Oversee PET and MRI imaging procedures.

•Completes study source documents and maintains study files.

•Enter all data from research forms.

•Perform statistical analysis and image processing.

•Maintain compliance with HIPAA and IRB regulations and assist with IRB submissions.

•Opportunities to contribute to scientific publications, including statistical analyses and graphical representation of data and writing.



Bachelor's Degree in related discipline required, including psychology and neuroscience and some related experience required in clinical research, neuropsychological testing and image processing. Additional education may substitute for the required experience and additional experience may substitute for the required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency Formula.


JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
