Research Program Coordinator
The Pathology Department is seeking a Research Program Coordinator to be responsible for management and coordination of multiple research studies under the general supervision of a faculty investigator or laboratory supervisor. Data management and Data analysis, coding and use data software programs. In collaboration with the PI and Research team, coordinate the scientific implementation of research protocols for multiple complex research projects. Collects and maintains project data. Performs research lab tests and experiments by following established procedures and protocols.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood samples.
- Meet and enroll patients into clinical studies.
- Input data into data bases.
- Use data software programs and coding for data management and data analysis.
- Provide assistance with IRB applications.
- Participate in research meetings.
- Order supplies and materials.
- Follows established procedures and protocols, utilize appropriate techniques to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments, which may include molecular assays, e.g. DNA extractions, PCR, immunoassays, etc.
- Exchanges routine information in an appropriate manner requiring good oral and written communication. Regular interaction with students, vendors, post-doctoral fellows, faculty members, and other clinical fellows.
- Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EndNote/Refworks.
- Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis is helpful.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-management with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience coding in R or another statistical software program.

Starting Salary Range: $35,776-$63,024 Annually ($45,400 Targeted; Commensurate w/exp
