Research Program Coordinator
We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator to join the Center of the Electrophysiology Clinical Trials. This program supports a variety of ongoing and future clinical research studies within the Division of Cardiology. The position is ideal for individuals starting their careers in clinical research or transitioning into the field, as training and mentorship will be provided.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and oversight of clinical research studies in Electrophysiology, working collaboratively with the research team to ensure project success.
- Recruit and coordinate research subjects according to study objectives.
- Communicate study details and obtain informed consent (in-person or via telephone) with proper documentation in electronic medical records.
- Schedule study follow-up visits and research-related tests within the study timeframe to minimize protocol deviations.
- Monitor participants for protocol adherence and provide follow-up as needed.
- Implement and maintain data collection and analysis systems, including management of subject binders, paper files, and electronic databases.
- Organize and maintain study records according to regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy statutes.
- Assist with data collection, including conducting interviews and administering surveys.
- Ensure study-related supplies and equipment are available and functional.
- Prepare and submit research documents (e.g., protocols, amendments) to IRBs and other oversight bodies.
- Maintain compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, IRB requirements, and federal regulations.
- Assist with study timelines to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Participate in team meetings and provide study updates.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate project execution.
- Collect and enter data from medical records and questionnaires, ensuring accuracy.

- Note: Training will be provided for tasks such as specimen handling, venipuncture, and laboratory procedures, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in clinical research and cardiology, particularly Electrophysiology.
- Experience with customer service or participant-facing roles.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical research processes.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($49,400 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
