Senior Business Analyst

CTY Online Programs provides online educational experiences to tens of thousands of academically talented students each year. CTY is hiring a Senior Business Analyst  to support CTY Online Programs. The Senior Business Analysts will collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve business processes, enhance organizational structures and policies, and implement new/improved technical solutions.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Analytics and Problem Solving

  • Elicit, organize, analyze, and prioritize business, user and functional requirements
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design to identify, recommend, and solve business problems within the areas of registration, billing, financial aid, and possibly academic advising administration
  • Use analytic and process management tools to effectively gather and analyze data in order to improve business processes and workflow in these areas
  • Efficiently gather and synthesize data, conduct research, and summarize conclusions


Project Management

  • Establish knowledge of financial, business, and technological practices around CTY and the university in order to effectively support projects
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop product strategic plans/roadmaps based on the needs of stakeholders. This includes the ability to:
    • prioritize requirements based on estimated impact to users, cost to implement, and availability of existing solutions;
    • measure and evaluate the success of solutions;
    • present roadmaps and progress to executive stakeholders; and
    • perform project management duties
  • Assess change readiness among stakeholders identifying and helping mitigate implementation barriers and risks as needed


Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Engage others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems
  • Effectively lead stakeholder interviews and process design sessions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate their functional needs into technical requirements. mindful to create new ways of working, not just automating existing processes
  • Build strategic working relationships with critical stakeholders in Online Programs and across the organization and enterprise
  • Effectively obtain and respond to stakeholder feedback, measure customer satisfaction, and track performance


To Accomplish These Duties, the Individual Will:

  • Implement advanced strategies for eliciting and analyzing requirements
  • Coordinate work with professionals from multiple functional departments (including enrollment management, financial aid, student accounts, in-person and online programs, IT, Human Resources, and more) and facilitate collaboration among these diverse stakeholders
  • Create business process documentation, business process models, and other artifacts

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in higher education, financial analysis, project management, student services (particularly billing, registration, and/or financial aid) is desired.
  • Management consulting experience strongly preferred.

  • Mastery of Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse pad and other office machinery
  • The incumbent will be required to communicate regularly via telephone and face to face with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these settings
  • Position also requires a degree of mobility common to working in an office environment; bending, kneeling or standing during events and presentations may be required.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination.
