Sr. Research Assistant
We are seeking a Sr. Research Assistant with excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate the implementation and evaluation of an efficacy trial of a pre-visit sexual and reproductive health care tool (Health-E You) to engage male adolescent patients in school-based health clinics.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administratively assist with protocol implementation of study and day-to-day logistical work, coordination, and communication with principal investigator, the Program Coordinator and other team members, including assisting with IRB maintenance.
- Assist with research study activities to assure validity of findings. Assist with creation of and adherence to standard operating procedures and protocols and be trained on informed consent procedures and recruiting procedures.
- Assist with recruiting and consenting of male adolescents and clinicians at primary care settings to complete procedures related to assessing perceived acceptability, usability, and satisfaction with the Healthy-E You mobile app website and conducting and facilitating debrief sessions and analyzing quantitative data.
- Assist with the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the efficacy trial, including assisting with supporting SBHC staff across clinical settings to distribute Health-E You recruitment materials to male adolescent patients.
- Assist with retaining participants and ensuring administration of follow-up surveys with male patients and ensuring participants receive electronic remuneration.
- Assist with monitoring of trial activities.
- Assist with data analysis, manuscript preparation and submission.
- Assist with writing of the data codebook with oversight by the investigator study team members.
- Assist with performing literature searches; manuscript and presentation preparation and submission.
- Assist with scheduling of weekly research team meetings, preparing meeting minutes, participating in weekly team meetings and make recommendations on operational issues.
- Assist with monitoring of participant assignment to study arms.
- Assist with writing summary of weekly recruitment activities, including any related study events to discuss at weekly team meeting.
- Assist with data management and quality control/assurance, including any data entry.
- Assist with study dissemination.
- Assistance in preparation of presentations, manuscripts, and reports.
- Maintain high ethical standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Two years of related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred candidates will be highly organized, meticulous to details and deadlines, have prior experience working with adolescents, inclusive of male adolescents, as part of public health practice, have prior experience with clinical trial procedures; qualitative, quantitative research skills.
- MPH or MS in relevant field.

Starting Salary Range: Min $21.17 - Max $37.07 HRLY ($35.00 Targeted; Commensurate w/experience)
