Sr. Research Program Coordinator
The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, is seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator to work under the supervision of the Program Manager and Principal Investigators. This role will provide expert coordination of programmatic and operational activities to ensure successful completion of research studies under the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory (AITC). The Sr. Research Program Coordinator will provide administrative and reporting support to the research team, including timely submission of regulatory requirements (e.g., Institutional Review Board (IRB), NIH Human Subjects System (HSS) for funded awards), development of content for grant applications; and facilitating access to resources across Johns Hopkins University for awarded research projects. This person will work independently as well as part of a team under the direction of the Principal Investigators and Program Manager.
This position will provide critical program and resource coordination for research studies. This will include administrative support, and scientific knowledge to ensure the efficient, rigorous, responsible, and compliant administration of funded awards.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain good working knowledge of research protocols and reporting requirements.
- Use data systems to manage, track and report flow of research progress.
- Meet regularly with Principal Investigators, Program Manager and other research staff members to review data accuracy and overall study progress. Work closely with data manager to assist in quality control procedures.
- Assist with regulatory work across studies, including IRB, Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), ClinicalTrials.gov, NIH HSS, and other required submissions and reporting.
- Coordinate resources and personnel required for study procedures.
- Coordinate and draft content, including background material and references, for research grant submissions; track grant submission progress and timelines; prepare content for non-competing annual progress reports for funded awards.
- Prepare and distribute summary reports for research meetings as scheduled.
- Assist with preparation for monitoring and audits of studies. Correct errors in database when necessary. Write responses to audit reports with input from the Principal Investigator and Program Manager.
- Assist the Principal Investigators and/or Program Manager in defining information and plans required to accomplish goals of studies. Design and create protocol-specific report forms as needed. Assist less experienced staff in design and creation of such forms.
- Assist with publishing research related to AITC activities.
- Support the planning of AITC-related events.
- Perform other operational tasks as needed, including recruitment of research subjects and coordinating study visits, and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Three years of related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good proofreading skills.
- Skilled in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Reference Manager software packages.
- Experience with online data collection interfaces (e.g., REDCap).

Starting Salary Range: $41,300 - $72,300 Annually ($50,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
