Sr. Systems Administrator
IT@JH Engineering Services is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator who is responsible for operations, maintenance and upgrades of Epic Windows Server Systems.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates and operates under limited supervision of Systems Engineers to perform daily operation and management of Epic Windows Server systems.
- Receives direction from Manager, or other team members to ensure Epic activities are performed as required.
Specific Devices, Software, Projects
- Position is required to be proficient with Epic software and Windows Server Operating Systems and common load-balancing principles.
- Windows Internet Information Server knowledge is a plus.
- Epic Kuiper usage/knowledge is also a plus.
- Position is responsible for Epic Server Systems and ensuring client connections to Epic is consistently maintained.
Scale/size of area, Project and/or System Supported
- Epic is used by over 15,000 clients daily. Over 60 Windows Server Systems in 3 datacenters support Epic. Understanding of the interactivity of the systems and the roles they play are crucial to operations and maintenance of Epic Windows Server Systems. Customers vary from Computer Analysts to Clinical Staff.
On-call Requirements
- 7 day on-call rotation is expected.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Three years related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Windows Operating System knowledge.
- Windows Server knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of Virtualization/Virtual Servers, networking, load-balancing and IIS is a plus.

Starting Salary Range: Min $61,070/Mid $83,900/ Max $106,710 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
