Talent Acquisition Consultant

 

General Description

 

We are seeking a results-oriented Talent Acquisition Leader who performs and manages the full life cycle recruiting process for multiple functional areas. These positions range from entry-level to senior management. Leverages organization acumen and influencing skills to partner with hiring managers.

 

This role will report to the Executive Director of Talent Management & Human Resources for Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) Division.  In this role, you will lead a talent acquisition team to ensure operation excellence in service delivery while directly provide consultation and guidance in planning, sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of the right talent to position the division for success in meeting its short and long term goals.  In addition, you will embrace and advance the university's HR mission of attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging a high-performing workforce in support of excellence in the university's mission, while promoting diversity, equity, civility, and respect.

 

The primary duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Recruitment Marketing
    • Develop compelling messaging to attract key talent and to reach untapped candidate pools, especially for unique, niche technical skill sets.
    • Partner with HR colleagues, Communications & Marketing and the line business to create dynamic recruiting marketing/promotional material and recruitment campaigns that include involvement from the line business.
    • Develops and implements communication strategies to market the organization to potential applicants. Works collaboratively with marketing and communications resources to ensure that applicable media (print materials, online presence, social media, etc.) reflect and convey an appropriate image for current and future employees.
  • Pipeline Building
    • Identifies workforce requirements to achieve the organizations short and long term goals and objectives. Considers projected changes, internal talent pool and readiness levels, expected replacements, historical retention rates, employment process lead times, and other factors.
    • Partner with Recruiters to ensure a strong overall pipeline of candidates to fill current and future roles
    • Identify and recruit passive candidates for general opportunities or specific openings.
    • Develops innovative sourcing strategies for talented and diverse candidates through both established and creative methods
    • Leverages prospecting and networking skills to build and maintain a network of contacts and potential candidates. Develops and maintains relationships with professional associations, search firms, and other recruitment sources. Attends appropriate conferences and association meetings to network.
  • Recruitment
    • Continually review and optimize the recruitment process to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness. Leverages existing and new metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruiting process and its component parts. Incorporates customer expectations and industry bench marks into the metrics process. Strives for performance that meets or exceeds goals and metrics.
    • Ensures a positive hiring manager and candidate experience throughout the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
    • Collaborates with hiring managers on the overall recruiting process. Provides advice and assistance with job descriptions and postings. Develops recruiting plans that leverage knowledge of internal and external markets.
    • Ensures that diverse pools of talent are identified and leveraged for candidate sourcing and ensures that diverse slates of applicants are presented to hiring managers
    • Ensures that recruiting and employment practices are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with some experience in employment practice and policy development. Administration, and application. Additional education may substitute for work experience.
  • Experience in recruitment of professional staff from entry-level to executive strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices for international candidates.
  • Experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Relevant professional certification such as Certified Internet Recruiter, Certified Staffing Professional, Professional Recruiter Certification
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years recruiting and/or sourcing experience
  • Strong knowledge or recruitment process and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Experience working in a development/fundraising/grateful patient fundraising environment considered a plus

Qualifications

Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative, team-based environment. Must also be able to effectively balance and prioritize multiple demands. Exhibits strong communication skills (verbal and written).  Is comfortable with data and analysis. Occasional travel is required.
