Treasury Analyst

The Johns Hopkins University, one of the world's premier teaching, research, and patient care institutions, is seeking candidates for the position Treasury Analyst within its Treasury Office, reporting directly to the Debt Manager for the university. Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of journal entries, researching the postings to the general ledger as needed and completing general ledger account reconciliations
  • Preparation of schedules and analysis for the University's annual audited financial statements
  • Maintain all information related to lines of credit, standby lines, and other liquidity products
  • Processing of wire requests for debt service payments and other debt related fees
  • Support the commercial paper issuance process and the maintenance of debt related data in the treasury management system
  • Additional responsibilities include maintaining the Central Bank portfolio of internal loans and assisting with the annual budget and capital planning process
  • Assist with IRS reporting requirements for the Form 990, Schedule K, including annual bond compliance analysis
  • Support the data collection process for rating agency activities


Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, one to three years of work experience with working knowledge of debt products and the accounting process for these instruments
  • The successful candidate will have training and work experience in accounting, business, or finance
  • The candidate should possess an understanding of the debt function within a corporation and its impact on the organization
  • Personality fit within a dynamic team is essential
  • The ideal candidate should be enterprising, outgoing, and enjoy teamwork
